Facebook bug fixes that sent automatic friend requests

A Facebook bug that caused friend requests to be sent to visited profiles has been fixed by Meta. Facebook has apologized for the glitch and told The Daily Beast that the bug "that caused some Facebook friend requests to be sent mistakenly" has been fixed.

As competition intensifies, Meta has also stepped up its AI offerings. Meta recently announced generative AI tools for advertisers, allowing them to create text and alternative background images for ads.

In July, the company will gradually expand the availability of the tools to a smaller group of advertisers. AI was also used to predict the performance of ads.
